COLUMBUS, Miss.(WCBI)–Lowndes County Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting at the Lowndes County Courthouse today [Monday].

One veteran supervisor brought before his colleagues a suggestion that would include adding a new deputy director to help with the duties of the Emergency Management Agency.

At present there is a director and one administrative assistant. Supervisor Leroy Brooks thinks another person is needed at that post.

“Or train somebody to help relieve the stress off of two females. Sometimes they work fifteen 16 hours for tornadoes, bomb threats, and its just overwhelming,” said Leroy Brooks/Lowndes County Supervisor.

No action was taken by supervisors on Brooks’ suggest.
