From Eupora and West Point to Tupelo and West Alabama, employees of North Mississippi Health Services had plenty to cheer about today.
The region’s largest health care group was awarded the national Baldridge Award in ceremonies today in Baltimore, Maryland. Known as the Nobel Prize for business, the Baldridge recognizes sustained quality, achievement and performance over a period of years.
Congress established the award in 1988 to recognize some of the nation’s top businesses.
Since then, only 93 have been awarded nationwide.
North Mississippi Health Systems employs 62 hundred people and 500 doctors in six hospitals, 31 clinics and two nursing homes across the region.
