Video: Van and Altima Collide in Lowndes County

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – 4 people are sent to hospital after a van collides with a Nissan Altima at the intersection of Highway 45 Alternate and Tarleton Road, in Lowndes County.

It happened around 4:45 Monday (7-22)  afternoon.

Witnesses say the van was crossing the highway, headed toward Crawford when the accident happened.

The van flipped at least 3 times.

The Altima caught fire.

Witnesses say there were 3 people in the car and 1 in the van.

According to scanner traffic, everyone is pretty badly beaten up, but it doesn’t sound like any of the injuries are life threatening.
