CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The state attorney general’s office is assisting Calhoun County investigators as they try to find the person who shot and killed a man this past weekend.

Sheriff Greg Pollan tells WCBI he’s been in Jackson today working with the A.G.’s cyber crime unit to analyze cell phone records.

He says investigators are continuing to follow up on leads after receiving tips from residents. They have interviewed more than 20 people so far, but have still made no arrests.

Billy Covington was found on the side of County Road 308 on Saturday morning.

He was shot multiple times.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is also assisting in the case. If you have any information, call the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
