TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Tupelo woman charged with murder makes her first court appearance Wednesday.

30 year old Candace Ezell is accused of shooting and killing Marketa Williams at a home on Crestview Drive in Tupelo on Monday.

Investigators say Ezell and Williams were involved in an argument.

Williams was taken to the hospital and later died.

Ezell’s lawyer. Robert W. Davis, Jr.  believes that when all of the facts are known, his client will cleared.

“She is a veteran. She did a tour of duty in Iraq. She’s currently a student at the University of Mississippi. She is a good, fine person, and I believe that ultimately she is going to be exonerated.”

Ezell’s bond was set at $200,000.00 . She faces an April 6th Grand Jury.
