Video: Country Concert Traffic And Safety Control

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss.(WCBI)–The Luke Bryan Farm Tour Concert is being held on Pritchard Road in Lowndes County, for motorists that means one road into the hay field and the same road out of it.

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s department is being assisted by Oktibbeha County law enforcement, the Mississippi Highway Patrol, as well as other state and local agencies.

The day of the concert they are expected to be very busy controlling traffic while keeping concert goers safe. Sheriff Mike Arledge says there is a plan in place.

“Leave open one lane for emergency vehicles of course, to get any ambulance service that we need to get in. Or any thype of emergency vehicles. But we’ll have about five ambulances on the scene. We’ll have medical staff on the scene. Because we’ve ready coordinated that with everyone,” said Sheriff Mike Arledge/Lowndes County.

Sheriff Arledge is urging that motorists be patient and those consuming alcohol, be sure to use a designated driver.
