Video: Early Morning Wreck on Highway 45 South Sends one to the Hospital

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) -The Mississippi Highway patrol is  investigating an accident involving a pick up truck and an 18 wheeler Thursday morning on Highway 45 South at the Artesia Road exit.

Emergency crews had to cut out the top of the pick-up truck and used the jaws of life to get the driver out of the vehicle.

The man received cuts and bruises and a broken arm.

The driver of the 18 wheeler was not hurt.

It’s still unclear how the accident happened.
