CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Macon man is facing 25 years in prison for two charges.

Jimmy Dale Johnson pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in connection to a shooting at the Hilltop Café two years ago.

Johnson injured a teenager inside the business and claims he was acting in self defense.

Clay County circuit court judge Lee Coleman sentenced Johnson to five years on that charge.

Charges have been dropped against Jermaine Walker, who was also arrested in connection with the shooting.

Johnson was also sentenced to 20 years for a 2012 drug charge. The sentences will run consecutively.
