Winston Hospital Demolition Bid

LOUISVILLE, Miss.(WCBI)–Winston County leaders are expected to award a contract tonight for demolition work at the hospital destroyed by a tornado last year.

Bids were opened Thursday in Louisville.

They ranged from $1.6 Million to the lowest bidder out of Mobile at $656,000.

County and Hospital officials are expected to gather at Lake Tiak O’khata and go into executive session Monday evening. The awarding of the demolition bid should be announced a few hours thereafter.

The Winston Medical Foundation board will present a recommendation to the board of supervisors for approval.

A contractor will most likely not be hired until the first of July.
