UPDATE: July 6, 2015
KILMICHAEL, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – The Montgomery County High School football team is in a time of transition.

The Hornets hired new head coach Al Dotson in early July, after previous head man Josh Glasner left for a job at Eupora. The 1A school went 8-14 in Glasner’s two seasons.

Dotson comes to Kilmichael after serving as an assistant at Kirk Academy in Grenada and at South Panola.

The Hornets showed improvement in 2014, finishing with a 5-6 record overall and a 4-4 mark in district play. While it wasn’t enough to make the playoffs, it’s a large step forward for a team that went 1-9 in 2012. This past season included a stretch of four wins in five weeks.

Montgomery County last made the postseason in 2010.
