BancorpSouth Arena to Host High School Basketball ‘CrossTown Challenge’

TUPELO, Miss (WCBI/ — Following the December 13 Mississippi State University vs. Southeastern Louisiana men’s basketball game at the BancorpSouth Arena, 12 high school basketball teams will hit the court to participate in the 2013 CrossTown Challenge, presented by basketball

The tournament will commence at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14.

“We are excited to showcase girl’s and boys’ basketball teams from across Northeast Mississippi during the 2013 CrossTown Challenge,” said Seth Gaines, Director of Sports Development for the Tupelo Convention & Visitors Bureau. “From the Mississippi State game Friday night to the full day of high school hoops on Saturday, it will be a perfect weekend to watch some great basketball games in Tupelo.”

Cost is $7 for all day entry into the 2013 CrossTown Challenge tournament. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the BancorpSouth Arena Box Office and through starting November 8 at 10:00am.

11:00 a.m. – Itawamba AHS vs. Pine Grove (Boys)
12:45 p.m. – Florence vs. Alcorn Central (Girls)
2:30 p.m. – Carbon Hill AL vs. Shannon (Boys)
4:15 p.m. – Tupelo vs. Belmont (Girls)
6:00 p.m. – Olive Branch vs. Florence MS (Boys)
7:45 p.m. – Tupelo vs. Sumter Central AL (Boys)
