Another game you should watch is the annual Crosstown Classic in between Oxford and Lafayette, this game will be played on September 12, 2014. Both teams made a state title run only to watch their title hopes slip away, both teams have set their sights on making a trip back to the title game, and both teams have excellent football tradition among their programs. When Lafayette travels 3 miles down the road to Bobby Holcomb Field (Home of the Oxford Chargers), They will come out with fury after losing to their in city rival Oxford 30-0 last season. Oxford will have other ideas, trying to beat Lafayette for the third straight year.

Jared, I could not agree with you more. That game is going to be a phenomenal match-up between two teams that made it to the State Title last year. I think it’s one of the strongest football rivalries in the state and we can’t wait for it this year. Thanks for your comment!
