STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Prepare yourselves: basketball season will be wild in Mississippi this year.

At Mississippi State, the Bulldogs will begin officially sanctioned practices on Monday, October 5th along with the rest of college basketball as the 2015-16 season is closing in.

The Bulldogs are earning national recognition with the arrivals of head coach Ben Howland and 5-star recruit Malik Newman to MSU. Many major publications are picking State to return to the NCAA Tournament this season after a long absence.
