BILOXI, Miss. (WCBI) — A late night on the coast was in store for Mississippi State baseball’s first ever game in Biloxi.

And it was the Diamond Dawgs’ first ever win on the Mississippi Gulf Coast as Jake Mangum’s base hit in the 14th inning gave MSU a 1-0 victory over UL-Monroe on Thursday morning.

The game, which was completed in just under 6 hours, featured 17 pitchers and had just 13 hits total between the two teams.

Mississippi State will take the trip over to Baton Rouge to face LSU in a 3-game set starting on Friday.
