Aliceville Woman Dies after Being Hit by Car

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) — An Aliceville, Ala. woman is killed and a friend seriously injured when they are struck by a car.

The Alabama Highway Patrol says 79-year-old Rhonda Clark died from injuries she suffered while walking along Alabama Highway 216 in eastern Tuscaloosa County at about 7-15 p.m. Sunday. The accident happened at the 3.8 mile marker.

Debra Wright, 42, also of Aliceville, who was walking with Clark, also was struck and is in the University of Alabama Birmingham hospital.

Troopers still are investigation the incident.
