UNDATED, Miss. (WCBI)-They damage crops and land and are becoming a massive issue in the south…wild hogs. Damage to farm crops and out of control numbers has persuaded Governor Phil Bryant to sign a bill that adds wild hogs to the state beaver-control program. Effective July 1st a Beaver and Wild Hog Control Advisory Board will be created to come up with a program to control or eradicate beavers and wild hogs. A recent evaluation by the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks indicates that 38 percent of the state is occupied by wild hogs or about 11.7 million acres.
