What Attracts You To Market Street Fest?

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Live music, fresh food and family fun are all apart of the 20th Annual Market Street Festival.

It brings in nearly 40,000 people every year but what is it that keeps  festival goers coming back each year?

“Not too sunny, not too cloudy. It’s perfect.”

The warm weather brought many people out to Market Street Festival this weekend.

250 arts, crafts and food vendors lined the streets of downtown Columbus but what is it that attracts so many people to Market Street?

“It’s local and there’s so many people that come back together. It’s like a reunion and family, there’s lots of fun and food and activities and I really enjoy it,” said festival goer Sarah Hern.

For some, its about family and friends but for others, it’s about shopping for something unique and satisfying those tempting taste buds.

“I came out today to look at the artwork. I love to look at all the different boutiques and I love trying all the new foods,” said festival goer Aniya Vance.

But one thing is for sure, not matter how old you are, there is something for everybody at the 20th Annual Market Street Festival.

“Everybody should come out. It’s a really good family experience,” added Vance.

Market Street Fest is always held during the first weekend in May.
