COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- It’s a national event…students all across the country rose early from their beds to gather together at the flag pole on their school campuses for a moment of prayer. It’s ‘ see you at the pole ‘ today. Heritage high schoolers were among the many that led a student prayer event this morning.
“I feel like if we are going to be Christians in our community and at our school alike; that we should represent God. You know? Especially early in the morning with our student body,” Heritage senior Austin Fitch said.
“This is a nationwide event. I think it is important that we all humble ourselves and pray to God and seek his face continually…and I think it is good for our schools to do and participate as a group,” Heritage senior Sallie Gardner said.
Thirty Heritage Academy students offered prayers for our country, state, and community.
