17-Year-Old Dies in Prentiss County Accident

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (Press Release) — A 17-year-old Prentiss County girl is killed and two passengers injured in a one-vehicle traffic accident Saturday night.

Sheriff Randy Tolar says deputies received a call at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday of an accident on County Road 7100 which also is known as New Bryant Road. When deputies arrived, they found a westbound vehicle had left the road and flipped several times before landing on its wheels in a drainage ditch.

The 17-year-old driver was killed and two female passengers, ages 14 and 15, were injured. Tolar says he does not know their condition.
