21- Year Old Man Behind Bars After Shooting Spree

TUPELO, Miss.(WCBI)– A Verona man has been arrested after a series of shots fired in both Tueplo and Verona Friday night.

Tupelo police say they first got a call around 9:30 of shots fired in the Hillsdale Apartment Complex.

Kearies Boyd, 21, then allegedly drove to the Barley Courts Apartments on the Tupelo- Verona line and fired at least one-shot into a dwelling. Verona police say he then drove into a home on Easy Street, where he also fired three or four shots into the home.

Verona’s police were in pursuit when Boyd’s SUV flipped after hitting another vehicle.

Boyd was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center. He was arrested Saturday morning after his discharge.

Boyd is charged with shooting into occupied dwellings in both cities.
