Guilty Plea In Natchez Trace Motorcycle Deaths

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — A Tishomingo man has pleaded guilty in connection with the August deaths of two motorcyclists on the Natchez Trace Parkway.

50 year old Donnie Wayne Sartain entered the guilty plea to two counts of improperly maintaining control of a motor vehicle this morning before Judge Mike Mills.

A Canadian couple was traveling south on the parkway in Prentiss County when Sartain’s pickup crossed the center line and hit the bike killing the man and his wife. According to court records, Sartain’s bood alcohol content at the time was point zero eight. He will be sentenced later.
