COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Interim Columbus Schools Superintendent Edna McGill will keep that title a while longer.
After four hours in executive session, board members voted Monday night to renew McGill’s contract on a month-to-month basis as the search for a permanent superintendent continues.
Board president Jason Spears says keeping McGill at the helm of the district will allow for continued smooth operations.
The board did not disclose the details of the contract. They are expected to be finalized by the end of the week.
