Pontotoc Middle School Receives Recognition

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) – Statewide recognition was given to Pontotoc Middle School on behalf of their new good behavior reward system.

Reach Mississippi named them as a Model School in the Positive Behavioral Intervention Support program. This accolade placed them on a list with several other North Mississippi schools.

Pontotoc Middle School’s system on rewarding good behavior is to praise children that have good attendance and obtain good daily behavior by rewarding Warrior Bucks.

Warrior Bucks may be used to win prizes or participate with other classmates in on and off campus school functions.

The middle school has shown a steady decrease in disciplinary actions taken against students since this program has been implemented.
