LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)-The Louisville Community grabbed their rakes and gloves to help beautify their local park Saturday.
Volunteers from the 4-H Club, Boys and Girl Scouts along with many others spent the morning cleaning up Dean Park. Cleaning debris, pulling weeds from the community garden and replacing pine straw around trees were just a few of the tasks the volunteers helped with. The President of the Friends of Dean Park says it’s a great way to show how much the community cares.
“It’s a beautiful day and the park is really a beautiful place. And in spite of the of the vandalism that went on here last week we are still hopeful that our park will continue to grow and be beautiful,” says Elmetra Patterson.
Lunch was provided for the volunteers.
