Video: Columbus School District Changes Principals

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The Columbus School District is going through changes after three principals resign.

According to Columbus Superintendent, Dr. Philip Hickman, Freda Dismukes who served as the Columbus Middle School principal resigned at the end of last year.

Dismukes will head up the Freshman Academy Program at the high school at the start of the next school year.

Also, Tawan Williams, who once served as the Assistant Principal at Cook Elementary is now the Interim Principal at Franklin Academy.

William is replacing Patricia Overstreet who served as the Franklin Academy principal for nearly eight years.
