LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – In just a few seconds, Monday’s tornado wiped out Louisville’s latest economic development success. But city leaders are talking with Natron Industries and state officials about rebuilding the plywood plant the company was preparing to open on South Church Street. The company announced its plans a year ago after the city and county spent another year getting the former Georgia Pacific plant ready to market to a new tenant. Natron had begun hiring some of its 200 workers after more than $5 million had been spent on electrical upgrades in other renovations. Monday’s twister flattened the 265,000 square foot building.

Louisville Mayor Will Hill says he hopes the company will rebuild.
