1 hospitalized, 1 jailed after West Point shooting

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI)- One person is flown to an area hospital after a shooting in West Point.

Chief Avery Cook says a suspect turned himself in late Monday.

The shooting happened just before 6 p.m. Monday evening at Marshall Park, just off of College Street.

A witness at the scene says a truck rammed into a gold colored car then fired shots into that car.

Two people were inside the car at the time of the shooting.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.

West Point Police are investigating.
