Video: Lowndes County Schools Construction Slightly Delayed

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. ( WCBI) — The spring rain has slowed down some local construction projects.

At Friday’s Lowndes County Schools meeting the board got an update on some of their current projects.

Architect Joey Henderson says that the roof on the New Hope High Field house is on and bricks are going on this week.

He says the project was expected to be wrapped up this next month but with the rain, could now go till June.

He says he district is still working to get the utility easements secured for the New Hope Sewer project which will tie into the Columbus City lines.
