18-year-old and 2 juveniles arrested in connection to car burglary spree

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville police believed they had the culprits in over two dozen auto burglaries.

Between Saturday night and Tuesday morning, Starkville police took 25 auto burglary and two stolen vehicle reports.

Among the property taken in the burglaries were at least five firearms.

On Tuesday, police arrested 18-year-old Anthony Buchanan and a 15-year-old at The Grove Apartments.

They were charged with several counts of auto burglary.

A 16-year-old was also arrested, and charged with three counts of possession of a stolen firearm.

Police said most of the stolen firearms have been recovered.

They also said more arrests were possible.
