Video: Second Hamilton Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In

HAMILTON, Miss. (WCBI) — The second suspect in connection with a shooting near Hamilton High School turned himself in Wednesday.

20 year old Duquann Payne of Aberdeen is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm on school property and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

He turned himself in to the Mississippi Department of Corrections on Wednesday.

Bond has not been set for Payne.

20 year-old Shadrick Ware was arrested April sixth, the same day as the shooting.

Gunfire rang out near the Hamilton High School football field.

At least four shell casing were found at the scene.

Monroe County deputies also found about three pounds of marijuana.

Investigators believe the shooting is a drug deal gone bad.

Dwayne Robinson of Columbus was shot in the hip. He was released from the hospital this past Friday.

He will also face charges in the incident.
