31st Annual Insurance Day At The Mill

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Mississippi State’s 31st annual Insurance Day Program kicked off at the Mill today.

The education program is put on by the university’s College of Business’ Risk Management and Insurance Academic Concentration.

Hundreds of insurance professionals from all over the southeast came out to the two day event.

The sessions focus on current industry issues, leadership, and several other topics.

Those who attend may earn up to 12 continuing education credits.

“We bring back a lot of people that have gone to school here. Also, we welcome new guests,” Assistant Program Director Martha Galloway continued, “We have several Commissioners coming from several different states this year, so we’re excited about that. Several of our speakers are flying in. We have over 30 speakers this year, so really excited about this program and excited that we have so many guests attending.”

Some of the keynote speakers will be Mississippi Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney, MSU’s Head Football Coach Joe Moorhead, and MSU radio announcer Neil Price.

In addition to the session, a golf tournament will be held at Old Waverly Golf Club as well as a reception in the Bryan Building on the MSU campus.
