3rd State Child Flu Death Recorded This Season

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – Mississippi records its third child flu death this flu season.

This bring the state’s historic total to 19 since the first records were kept in 2008.

Nationally for this season, the total number of child flu deaths is up to 128.

Although we’ve passed the peak of flu season, doctors are still urging residents to get vaccinated.

In fact, children and qualifying adults can still get their vaccination for free at any of the State Department of Health’s county offices.
