4 Paws Mississippi Fundraiser

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – 4 Paws Mississippi has found a way to make exercising fun.

Dogs of all different breeds made their athletic debut at the 4 Paws 5-K and 1 mile walk.

Runners had the opportunity to bring their dogs with them as they raced to the finish line.

The run is one of 3 fundraising opportunities put on by 4 Paws.

Kerry Blanton says the event is about having fun but also raising money.

“Over the last three years we have held events in the community. We’re trying to have events that dogs and their owners can come to and have fun and also provide some monetary support from the funds that we raise during those events, to the humane society,” said Blanton.

In the last 3 years, the organization has raised over $10,000 for the Humane Society.
