Lowndes County man accused of child sex crime

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County man is accused of a child sex crime.

George Williams, 62, is charged with Molesting – Touching a Child for Lustful Purposes.

The Artesia man was arrested late Sunday afternoon, that’s when deputies started investigating the case.

Detectives say Williams does know the alleged victim.

He remains in jail.
