Early morning house fire in Columbus under investigation

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- An investigation begins into an early morning house fire in Columbus.

Shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday, Columbus Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire call at 301 21st Street North.

Officials said three people were in the home at the time.

No injuries have been reported.

The resident said she had a small portable heater running.

The cause, however, remains undetermined and is being investigated by the fire marshal.
