Identity Released of Man Killed in Domestic Argument in Crawford

CRAWFORD, Miss. (WCBI)- 62 year old Willie Baptist died at his Starkville Road home Thursday night.

Lowndes County deputies say Baptist and his 41-year-old son got into an argument.

Investigators believe Baptist fired a shot inside the home and then there was a struggle over the gun, that’s when the gun was fired again.

Chief Deputy Greg Wright says the shooting remains under investigation and no arrests have been made.

The case will be presented to the next grand jury.
