Madison County deputy shot in head continuing recovery

MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Madison County deputy continues to recover after being shot last month.

Brad Sullivan has been in the hospital since being shot on September 5.

In a post on the Facebook group “Praying for Deputy Brad Sullivan” family members said he is awake and responding to questions by nodding his head. He also mouthed a couple of sentences.

The family continues to ask for prayers.

Sullivan, a Winston County native, was shot after a hostage situation that led to a high-speed chase.

Edgar Egbert crashed his jeep and that’s when a shootout occurred.

Sullivan was shot, along with another deputy. Egbert was also injured.
