SUV crumples against chemical truck in Southern Lowndes County wreck

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An Escalade is crumpled in serious accident on Highway 45 Alternate in Southern Lowndes County.

Fortunately the driver of the SUV made it out with their life, but did receive moderate injuries.

A type of railroad capable tanker-truck collided with the Cadillac around 11:00 a.m.

Troopers believe the driver of the Cadillac, Edmond Hines, Jr. pulled out of Swedenburg Road, attempting to cross onto westbound Penn Station Road near Crawford.

That’s reportedly when the heavy-duty Freightliner railroad chemical truck hit the passenger side of the SUV.

The truck driver was not injured.
