PITTSBORO, Miss. (WCBI) – They are made from wedding dresses and t-shirts and pay tribute to Elvis, Santa Claus and special family moments. They’re sewn together on road trips and picked up at estate sales.
But wherever they came from, the more than 220 quilts, aprons, baby blankets and doll clothes on display at the Calhoun County Quilt Show is a walk through the beauty of a traditional craft.
This is the 9th year the Calhoun County Extension Service has brought together the show at the county multipurpose building Saturday in Pittsboro. Collectors, quilt makers and families loan their quilts and aprons for the show.
