Tupelo man facing felony child abuse charge

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)- A 2-month old child is fighting for its life.

Tupelo police responded to a possible child abuse case at NMMC ER, where the 2-month old was admitted with life threatening injuries.

The father, Justin Lee Spencer, was detained after a preliminary investigation.

The child was later transported to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.

Spencer was charged with Felony Child Abuse and is being held without bond.
