Tupelo Police Department continuing death investigation after two bodies found

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo police are continuing to investigate after two bodies were found in a home on Hibner Street.

Officers said they were called to the home for a welfare check on Sunday, just after 6 p.m.

When officers went into the house, an adult male and female were found dead. No one else reportedly was in the home.

Investigators said there were no obvious signs of foul play.

The case remains under investigation. Tupelo detectives, Lee County Coroner’s Office and the State Medical Examiner’s Office are continuing to identify the cause of death for the two.
