22 traffic deaths reported during ALEA’s Holiday Enforcement Period

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WCBI)-  The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency releases numbers during its 2019 Christmas Christmas and New Year’s Holiday travel Period.

Unfortunately, nearly two dozen people were killed in crashes across the state. Troopers investigated 22 traffic deaths during the 13 day period.

Among those killed was a four year old who died in an Etowah County Crash.

Troopers say in total 10 drivers, nine passengers and one pedestrian were among those killed.

One of those crashes happened in Pickens County where three people were killed after being thrown out of their vehicle after it rolled over on on Alabama Highway 32, just across the Noxubee County line.

Five people were that SUV. Two of the men killed were brothers.
