Noxubee County Kicks Off Christmas Season
NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss.(WCBI) – Residents in Noxubee County started their holiday celebrations with the annual Sandyland Christmas Parade.
It kicked off with a police escort playing Christmas Carols.
The parade featured many local community organizations including the ROTC and the band.
It ended at the District One Community Center where participants enjoyed prizes and food.
People in the community tell us the event brings them together.
“Something to bring the community together we normally don’t have many were just a small town so if something to bring the community together,” said event attendee Shemeka Wells.
Next year will be the 30th year of the Sandyland Christmas parade.
