Local stores say drinks are flying off the shelves

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- “Business is good,” says a package store employee in Columbus.

Wines, etc. has been busy since the kickoff of the holiday season.

The package store located on Highway 45-N says sales have steadily increased since Thanksgiving and will spike on Monday, New Year’s Eve.

So, what are you buying?

Wines, etc. employee Jeff Keefe says you’re buying everything.

“They’ve wiped us out of champagne. They’ve wiped us out of vodka. They’ve wiped us out of bourbon. We get the truck back in, and they wipe the shelves again. And there’s not one particular drink they are buying,” said Keefe.
