ICC and Tupelo PD to conduct mock active shooter drill

BELDEN, Miss. (WCBI) – ICC and the Tupelo Police Department are planning to have a mock active shooter drill on January 18 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The drill will be held at ICC Belden Center.

Dean of Students Dr. Brad Boggs says it will be a test of emergency procedures and will not interrupt the normal activities for the day.

The drill will give law enforcement, emergency responders and ICC an opportunity to work together and fully understand their responsibilities in the event of an incident.

Dr. Boggs wants to make sure the public is aware that this will only be a drill.
