MUW head women’s soccer coach passes away
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi University for Women is mourning the loss of its head women’s soccer coach.
Gray Massey, of Brandon, passed away at 41-years-old.
He was named head coach in November of 2017 just before the Owls competed in their inaugural season in fall of 2018.
“Today we lost a great man, husband, father, and coach,” stated athletic director Jason Trufant. “Gray had a profound impact on each and every person he came in contact with. His joy for life and faith, his love for his family, and his passion for coaching made him a person we should all aspire to be. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Massey family during this difficult time.”
Massey leaves behind a wife and two children.
