“We’re safe,” United Deli owner grateful after storm

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Heavy damage after a tornado ripped through Columbus was reported on Gardner Boulevard.

United Deli, a popular gas station and sandwich spot in the Friendly City was heavily damaged.

Owner John Musa says he’s just glad everyone who was inside is okay.

“The building is damaged, one of my car windshield is damage. The roof, I see a leak coming which I’ll check in the morning. Inside we’re fine. We got hit a couple of spots but we’ll check it out in the morning we’ll be fine. We’re safe,” said Musa.
