Family fun day planned to help young man battling illness

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – West Point residents came together to help a young man battling a form of cancer.

Tres Turner, 23, has Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He is now undergoing radiation treatment, with the hopes that his cancer will soon be in remission.

In order to help with medical costs, a Family Fun day is planned for Saturday, April 6.

The event will feature a car show, pet parade, and other activities.

A Fun Run, 5k race will start at 8 a.m. at the Sally Kate Winters Park.
