Police make an arrest after a shooting in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus Police made an arrest after a shooting on July 9 in a north side neighborhood.

According to the Columbus Police Department, around 9:35 a.m., officers received a call about shots fired from a minor under the age of 10 around the 1200 block of 20th Street North.

After further investigation, 3 suspects were taken in for questioning.

44-year-old Chaundra Dismuke was charged with accessory after the fact and possession with intent.

18-year-old Logan Vaughn was charged with aggravated assault and 2 counts of malicious mischief.

62-year-old Dewane Gardner was charged with possession with intent.

A CPD spokesperson says no one was injured

We are told several cars were damaged by bullets.

This is an ongoing investigation, and more arrests may follow.
