Pedestrian struck by train at Crosstown

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Tupelo’s busy Crosstown intersection was closed for a couple of hours Tuesday night after a pedestrian was struck by a train.

The incident happened around 7:00 P.M. at the intersection of Main and Gloster Streets.

The victim was taken to an area hospital.

Drivers were forced to detour around the area for about two hours while police and emergency crews worked the scene.
